davita sign on bonus

Hello I recently interviewed with Davita . I was offered the position on the spot and it also comes with a sign on bonus for previous dialysis experience ,I was wondering if anyone has any experience with their bonuses and how their training typically goes. I was told it was mostly on the job training within the facility but it was odd to me coming from Fresenius where we have classroom training as well as on the job in facility training. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You will most likely be started on the job. When the Basic Acute Training Class is offered, you will be scheduled. I had to travel to Birmingham for the on the job training (the program at UAB is big) as well as the week long Basic Acute class. A new teammate and I were able to stay in a hotel near the training site. If you are working in a clinic, I'm not sure how that works!

My job did not come with a sign on bonus, so I cannot give any insight on that. I can say that travel expenses were reimbursed, as well as parking fees. There is a program for this and Davita is fairly quick (within 2 weeks) on paying reimbursements.

At some point, you will also be scheduled to attend Davita Academy. It is held in different cities. I got to go to Denver. Corporate culture is discussed and I found it a great learning experience.

Thanks for the feedback, I was wondering how long was it before you took the classes and attended the Davita academy after being hired , it all sounds very interesting .
