Davenport LPN hopefuls 2016..tons of questions ( lol)

Published

Hello everyone! I am new member to this website, but I've been visiting it for almost a year. I finally decided to join! I am a 2016 LPN hopeful at Davenport University in Michigan ( Warren campus) I have only seen two post pertaining to the campus thus far. I was wondering if anyone is applying for the upcoming fall semester? Also, I was wondering if anyone could tell me exactly how the program work. I have taken many of the prereq classes .The only non nursing class I will have to take is intermediate algebra.

I am curious how the program works since I have taken the prereqs already. Will it cut down my time in the program? Will I be allowed to keep moving forward or do I simply have to wait. Forgive me for the novice questions but I have no clue. All comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Welcome to AN! I am not familiar with the program you are planning to attend, but in general, nursing courses tend to build on each other. They must be taken in a specific order, and often each one is a required prerequisite to the next. However, for your specific program you can always look online for the college catalog, which may have a suggested plan for each semester of classes or speak to an advisor at the school.

Welcome! You'll find plenty of information and support here.

Thanks for the reply! I have looked at the recommended program sequence .. its 3 semesters and it does list the classes they recommend u to take :) I'm curious if I can move on to another class if I have already taken the recommended class that's listed. I will be contacting my academic advisor tomorrow! Thanks again!

Thank u so very much! I do feel welcomed already :)

Hi ! I'm possibly interested in that program too, have you found out anything ? I thought about Everest, but I don't like they're reputation, lol

Yes I have. I set up a meeting with an academic advisor back in the summer time. the program is 3 semesters. No prereqs required. If you go on their website it tells you what you need to apply to the program. Hope this helps :)

It does, thanks !
