Darton College 2010 Spring Evening program

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

I was trying to see if anyone in the metro Atlanta Area was applying to the Darton College spring 2010 evening program and if anyone would be interested in going in on an apartment to cut cost on traveling back and forth on the days we have class and clinicals.

Okay so I'm obviously WAY behind on these post, I just recently created an account on allnurses.com...will be traveling from Atlanta to Albany for awhile come Jan 2010 and was wondering if there was anyone in my area who will also be attending the evening nursing program and wanted to car pool....

I got in for the summer quarter and I am lovin it but like u said it can be stressful at times.

No way! I guess we have lecture together on Monday's then. Whose your lab teacher?

I started the program in January and so far so good. The only part that has been challenging is Adult Health I/Med-Surg falling in the summer semester for my group. It is all the same material at a condensed summer semester. I am enjoying the challenge, I figure if this semester is a success and my time management is up to par, then the other semesters should be easier to handle (fingers crossed). My best advice for anyone considering the Darton program is utilize your time wisely!!! I love it so far!!!

Oh wow, your taking Med Surg now. Yeah I heard that is one of the most difficult classes to take in the Summer, but no worries you're 90% through the semester, just 3 more wks and were out! Good luck with EVERYTHING! :) ..I might be checking in with you for some more advice as I advance through the program *fingers crossed*

I am currently applying to Darton for the Hybrid Traditional nursing course at the Ft. Benning location and am curious about the online nursing program and how students feel about it. Where do you go take your tests and where do you do your clinicals? At Martin Army or other area hospitals? Is it harder than being in class face to face? What can I expect? Excited but nervous. I also will have to take the HESI Exam in about a month. I have not taken A&P in about 3 years. I need to study for it, but I am also currently taking physics at another school which is difficult and takes up a lot of time. How hard is the HESI Test and what can I expect from it? I so hope and pray I get in!!!!!

hi sappergirl, did u get ur acceptance letter yet. i also applied to the ft. benning campus, anxiously waiting. let me know if u heard anything

Hey kukuakukua!

No, I haven't gotten a letter yet, I am actually taking the HESI test the first of the week. I am a late tester. Do you live in the Columbus area where I could possibly borrow your HESI study guide for a couple of days? I needed to freshen up a couple of things before I take the test. Just let me know if you would be ok with that. I wish you the best of luck! I hope we both get good news!

i gave my hesi book to someone but she doesn't test until feb so i can get it fot u, send me an email at [email protected] with ur number. i live in columbus
