I'm so disappointed! I found out I passed the NET exam, but apparently I am missing something in my file, so now I'm on the waitlist. Which means if I don't get into the program this fall, then I have to wait until January...I really hope people drop and I get in...I was really looking forward to going to school this fall
I am having this same dilemma. I did not get the "brilliant" idea to enter into the nursing program until this spring. Of course, I am of the personality type that wants everything to occur yesterday (smile). Because I waited so long to get my application in, the alloted 100 spaces in the college were filled when I applied BUT the good news is that I'm #4 on the waiting list. The bad news is that I've been on since April as well. If this will help others, I've been very persistent during the entire wait and I've been in contact with the Director of the Program. She's been wonderful and seems to be assuring me that they've been able to accommodate a percent of the wait list. Since I'm right up there, I am planning on getting in this fall. I've tried not to even think about NOT getting in because that will only fester negativity. One thing I've done is gotten a list of all the pre-entrance things that I will require so that when I get my letter, I will be ready to go. I have already scheduled myself for the CPR for the professional rescuer class. This is a requirement prior to entrance. I also set up a physical and immunization appt. which is also required of me. This will speed up the process for me when I do eventually get my acceptance letter. I spoke to the Director this week and the nursing administrators planned a meeting for this week to discuss how they can accommodate a percentage of the waitlist candidates. I am hoping that I will hear something further within the next week or two. So stay focused and stay positive. Placing a call to the college to ask for a waiting list status is better than becoming frantic and filled with anxiety. Also, it lets the Admissions person know how much entrance means to you.

I was actually offered a spot in surgical technologies, which is very hard to get into. And I took the offer! So, I'll be starting school 7/31 given my finacial aid goes through (tuition is a bit more). Thaks for all the good wishes!
I can't wait to get back to school!
