I'm so disappointed! I found out I passed the NET exam, but apparently I am missing something in my file, so now I'm on the waitlist. Which means if I don't get into the program this fall, then I have to wait until January...I really hope people drop and I get in...I was really looking forward to going to school this fall

You'll be OK. I hope you get in too this Fall, but if you don't you are not alone. Do you have a guarantee for the Spring if people do not drop? If so, that is better then having no guarantee.
By the way, what number are you on the Wait List? If you are within 10 or even 20 you may have a shot for this Fall so don't worry. Many people drop for different reasons; Finances and acceptance into a different school are two. Good luck. :)
Yeah, I'm garunteed a spot for january if people don't drop. Right now they only put 10 people on the waitlist and only took 60 into the program. They said they mailed me a letter today (obviously hasn't got to me) with all the details of what my scores were and where I am on the list. I'm crossing my fingers for first spot *xx*

I was number 4 on the waitlist for this January's Part-Time program...and then found out that I am having a baby in December!!! So, I defered for one year and will now start in January of '08 - seems like a million light years away. In the meantime I am taking all of my non-nursing classes so that by the time I do get into the program I will only have to take the Nursing classes and do my clinicals. maybe if you have to wait until January you could take a class and get it out of the way?:)

Sorry to hear that you are on the waiting list. Did you find out what you need, or what you were missing? If you do have to wait, why not take some classes to help with nursing. Check and see if there is a nutrition class or dosage calc class.
I'm not sure what I am missing. The letter they sent will tell me. I can only imagine its one of my references, since I turned everything else in by hand. And since it is an accelerated program (9months), all the clases are jammed into quarters, not semesters, so CC classes wouldn't transfer. I REALLY hope I get in!!! If not I plan to atleast take the phlebotemy course at the CC...better than nothing, right?

Hang in there! The admissions situation for nursing schools is really tough right now and getting waitlisted doesn't mean that you're in any way deficient or substandard.

Sorry to hear that you are on the waiting list. I know exactly how you feel.I was on the waiting list at my college since April 3, 2006. I did not know what my placement was. I kept on waiting. praying and at the same time working on plan b. With God's blessing, I finally got a phone call last Thursday informing me that a seat became available for me and if I would like to accept it. I accepted the seat. Dont't worry you are gonna be alright. Crossing my fingers for you. :)

Sorry to hear about your being wait listed. Hopefully the letter explains it all.
I was on the waiting list(#77), they only take 48 each semester for the RN/ADN program. Seems they have had a number of medical deferrals, students deciding on other allied health programs, other nursing schools etc....to make a long story short I got my letter offering me a seat in the class starting Fall '06.
SO DON'T GIVE UP! YOU'LL GET THERE!
