Just wanted to create a thread for those applying to Children's Medical Center in Dallas, TX, for the October 2018 Nurse Residency!

I am sorry I am super late to this thread! I didn't think about allnurse having one until now!

However, here was my experience with October Cohort:

I applied a week after the application opened, got a text and call from the recruiter for the phone screen a week later on May 10th. I recieved an email to do my video interviews later that same day. Did my video interview within 48 hours after receiving the email. Waited a month to get a text about the in-person interview on June 13th!

The recruiter Grace told me that the managers do not get to watch the video interviews until the application period closes and then they choose who they want to interview in person.

I just did all my in-person interviews yesterday, with three floors on June 29th - Gen Peds, Inpatient Sugery, Pulmonary! I know some floors are still interviewing next week on July 6th.

The recruiters said they will call back with offers latest is July 20th!!

Good luck to everyone who got an interview!!

My close friend who got hired back in December said she got a call the next day after her interview - but the managers did all tell me that the July cohort is about to start, so this time it might be different!

I wonder why some interviews are next week? Online it says 28 and 29th. July 20th seems so far away lol

Do you know how many they're hiring for pulmonary?

My friend said they had to move it for certain units, probably managers had imperative meetings or something and they had to move days!

And yes I asked during my interview, they said 5 for pulmonary.

Yes! Grace has been a God send! She replies same day when I text her. If you have another offer with a hospital, but you want Children's let them know. Grace said official offers go out next week on July 18th!

wait did they call you or email you? I guess they're calling earlier than expected? But yes what unit?!
