Dallas Children's October 2018 Residency

Just wanted to create a thread for those applying to Children's Medical Center in Dallas, TX, for the October 2018 Nurse Residency!

I know their application is still open, but I have applied to this residency in the past and have noticed that if you don't get a video interview invite, they most likely moved on. I'm hoping they have not finished contacting people again.

Same here - didn't get a video interview last time and haven't gotten one yet this time. Fingers crossed!

For those of you who have heard from a recruiter, when did you apply?

How does the video interview work? like is there someone face timing you?

They called it a "behavioral based" interview. So they asked 4 questions (just written on the screen) and we had to respond by recording our answers through a webcam, and it was like a 2 minute limit. And then those recorded answers are sent to wherever you applied!

I applied last week and havent heard anything. Two of my classmates applied and both got phone interviews. Im not sure when they applied though.

Has anyone who did a video interview heard back yet? I know they said around June 11

Nope! I hope I hear back soon! All my other interviews are next week!

Is Merideth still the recruiter and if so, do you all happen to have the residency number?

I submitted my application sometime during mid-may. Unfortunately, they don't have openings in the ED this October, so the recruiter said these departments would be open for this cohort:

+Pulmonary

+GI

+Renal

+Clinical Resource Team (Float Staff)

+Cardiac ICU

+Inpatient Surgery

+General Pediatrics

+Neuro ICU

A friend of mine got into the residency for July and she said when she did the video interview she didn't hear back until almost 2 months later to interview with the unit manager
