Dallas Children's Nurse Residency July Cohort 2019

Hi I would like to start a thread for anyone applying to Children's for the July 2019 Nurse Residency for people to ask questions and such!

i applied for ED,CVICU and CRT. In person interviews will be on March 4th and 5th so between now and then we have to wait for a call or email or something.

Yes and I believe applications close today so they will be sending our video interviews to the managers soon to be reviewed!

yes! i hope they start notifying next week the wait is killing me! My friend was in NICU she told me how they chose people last year!

How did they chose last year?

They literally go through your videos and nit pick, they look at your background, surroundings, are you dressed professional,how you look, how you talk.. they basically have to go through tons of videos and pick only a hand full so it gets pretty tedious! Im an internal employee thats applying

That's a good question that I honestly don't know the answer to! Most people I have talked to haven't heard anything and surely they still have to look at the applications that people have turned in up to today.

I submitted my application last week and I don't remember seeing a section where you put your preferences. Am I going crazy? or did I apply to something completely different?

I think people gave their preferences during video interviews. I submitted mine on Saturday, but haven't heard back about a video interview yet.

That's right they didn't have a section for preferences on the application, they asked over the phone before sending the video interview.

nothing yet. I was told they will probably be sending out in 2 weeks, this process is sooo long!!?
