Hi everyone,

If anyone is interested in the adn program for Cy-Fair. On the website there is a posting saying that the board of nursing might be increasing the number of students into the program .50 students into the fall 06 and spring 07. but it is still pending, but if it is approved then the application will be available on May 1 and deadline will be May 30. And also all three of the hepatitis shot must have been taken. So whoever is interested should check the cy-fair website constantly for updated info. http://www.cy-faircollege.com . This is only for cy-fair college.:lol2:

Hi,

Does anyone have any input in the Cy Fair program starting in Spring 07. I have 11.57 points and have applied to North Harris for Fall 06, but due to some unforeseen changes :) I may be unable to start in the Fall even if I get in and may have to postpone to Spring 07.

I know Kingwood and Cy Fair offer the Spring 07 starting date. However I believe Kingwood's is an evening program (someone please confirm). However since I will be a full time student I would prefer day classes so atleast I can spend the evening with my hubby/family. Therefore I plan to make Cy Fair my first choice and Kingwood my second (though Kingwood is a little more closer to me).

Does anyone know more about Cy Fair's program, the quality of instruction etc. On their website it says they plan to take in 50 students this Fall and 50 in the Spring. I know its a block system which is different from the other campuses. Can someone knowledgeable please share their experiences. If its a bad program to be in I dont mind going to Kingwood's even if it is in the evening. Also I was told that given the block program nature, my Pharmacology class taken at North Harris wont be counted and I would have to do Pharmac all over again - does anyone know if thats true.

Thanks

Well I got my accteptance letter to North Harris and I had an 11.08 something so you are good as gold. I just had to go to campus today and decline due to suprise baby #4 that is due Oct. 2nd. I think jumping off a building would have been easier.

I talked to someone at Cyfair a while back and she said the cut off there was 11.2 for the people on the waiting list. And 11.5 or 11.6 to get in.

Hope this helps.

how does one figure out how many points they have?
