I recently got accepted to the CCBC online/hybrid nursing program. I would love to have some feedback from persons who are enrolled or have graduated from the program. Anyone interesting kindly shoot me a feedback. Thanks a million.

I know this is an old post, but I can not say how horrible the online program is enough. Go for face-to-face, or try UMSOM's part time nursing program option if you have other obligations that prevent you from doing the day or evening programs. HORRIBLE! Almost ALL of the people in our class dropped out because it was ridiculous. YOU CAN"T TEACH YOURSELF NURSING, which is what they had us doing. But don't just take my word for it, ask yourself why they SHUT THE ONLINE PROGRAM DOWN FOR A FULL YEAR! They wouldn't do that unless the program had SERIOUS issues, and let me tell you, IT STILL DOES! RUN FAR AWAY!

I am going to have to differ with you. I just graduated from the online program and so far everyone in my program has passed on the first time. Most of them took it right after graduation and many already have jobs. I agree that the program had it's problems, but the students that made it through were adult learners, very bright and motivated. The lectures were lacking in the second years in some of the courses, but there is so much information available online to supplement. I know that they have revamped the program, so I'm sure some of those issues may have improved. Every program has it's deficiencies, but CCBC has one of the highest passing rates in MD. The exams were tough, but they prepared you for the types of questions on the NCLEX. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help if I can! Good luck!

The online portion was just completely redone, so no one can know what experience you may have.
