1. Are digital voice recorders allowed?

2. Is there a need for clipboards at clinicals?

My birthday is coming up and my entire family wants to buy me gifts that I can use for school. If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate them.

Thanks

I just thought of another question - do the instructors use powerpoints or do we have to take notes on our own?

Also, I most likely will not begin until one of the later dates so if any of you are starting earlier - would you please post your book and supply list so that we can get an idea?

They have all used powerpoints so far for me (first year done) and they are kind enough to print them off for you so you don't have to use your own paper and ink. You will get tons of papers before the first classes even start (they will tell you to come to school to pick up some stuff a week or so before classes start, which is the prereading and such). As for books, once they are available you should be able to get an idea of the ones that are needed by using the Center Campus bookstore website and entering in the class numbers. I spent A LOT on the first semester's books (but many of them are resused throughout the program so don't be too alarmed when you have to drop 600-800 bucks).

Wow - that is awesome that they printed the powerepoints for you.

I am a book nerd so I really look forward to buying all of my new ones. I read a thread on here that talked about debinding books to make them more managable - is this a popular practice at Macomb? It sounds great in theory but when it comes down to it, I don't know if I could do it. The only reason I would consider it is because I really don't like to read sitting at a table or desk.

See ya Saturday, Laujen!
