Current cost of UPMC Shadyside Nursing Program

Published

Hello,

I am posting to see if anyone can tell me what the cost of UPMC shadyside tuition is? I know last year they had the price on the internet, but now I can't find anything that reflects cost! If someone could let me know what the cost is for the college courses (breakdown), and then the nursing courses (breakdown), I would deeply appreciate it. I am planning on taking some non nursing courses at community college, and maybe just A&P 1 & AP 2, and Micro at Shadyside. I am planning on doing their 4 year evening and weekend program! Any help would be deeply appreciated!

Thanks,

Danyelle

Hi Danyelle,

I attended the Information Session a few weeks ago, and we were told that the student is as of right now responsible for the first $10,000 for the 2 years full-time [and I'm assuming 4 years part-time] program. We were also advised that the tuition would be going up next year, but they were unsure of the exact amount at that point. The college courses are $295 per credit, and books and uniforms are around $2500. They said that the face-value of the entire program is $27,000, so I guess they feel that they are still fronting the majority of the cost. I believe there are 24 credits total as far as the college courses go, so based on the math you're paying for those classes and then some. They didn't specify the costs of the Nursing courses as far as I know. Hope that helps!

Thanks for asking this question. I was also trying to figure out what the actual cost for the program is without the tuition forgiveness. I'm hoping that since I have most of my classes out of the way it won't cost quite as much.
