When is the best time to apply to a nursing school while in college?

Im a high school senior who plan on starting college in the summer term. Im familar with the fact that I have to take my pre whatever classes before attending nursing school. My major is Nursing, and im curious about when should i apply for nursing school? before the list is over-capacity. I Appreciate all answers :). Please and Thank You. Muahh Xoxo

The absolutely only way to know what to do is to contact the school of nursing you wish to attend. Many require you to go to an information session. This information/direction will need to be followed to a "T" no ifs ands or buts. Each college will have different requirements to some degree. Find this info as early as you can as there will be huge competition.

Will do, Thank u so much. Your response was well appreciated :).

Peace & Blessings!

The nursing school that I attend required me to have at least 30 semester hours before applying. However, there is one catch. One of those requirements is to have 2 of your biology classes (either Microbiology, Anatomy and physiology 1 or 2-any combo works) to be completed. I would apply a year in advance (before you are done) that you can have an advanced notice on where you stand at application-wise. Now, I don't know how many applications you are going to fill out for nursing school, but to make things even better for the easy admission into nursing school is to talk to the nursing school's recruiter. Your admission would be like a hot knife through butter. That's what I did before I got in my nursing school. I would talk to that person(s) immediately and keep talking (basically, on a routine bases) with that person(s). That way, the recruiter can begin to think that that individual is really putting in the effort to get into nursing school and my goes very along way.

Good Luck your adventure,

Not sure you are interested in this, but I am relatively certain some nursing schools accept seniors straight into the program. The first year or so you do pre-req's, then you start the nursing-only curriculum.

The best thing for someone in high school to do is to apply to direct entry nursing programs. Generally they are found at 4 year colleges, and they do not require an extra application for nursing. If you apply as a nursing major and are accepted by the school, then you are a nursing major. In many of these programs, you take nursing classes in your first year, and in almost all of them, you start clinicals in your second year.
