CUNY City Tech Nursing Spring 18'

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi Everyone!

I am applying to CUNY City Tech Nursing Program for Spring 2018. I wanted to know what were my chances of getting into the program. A&P I got a B+, Eng 1101 B, Eng 1102 A-, Psy A, Math A. TEAS-Overall 70.0%.

I am really passionate about nursing and am really hoping I get into the program.

As far as your grades go, they are fine. However, 70% on TEAS does not look good. But then again, what is the minimum test score required? If it is 70% and up, then you might be fine.

No one knows what anyone's chances are. As every semester its always different and random. Just apply and wait and watch for now

@futurenurseinfo TEAS passing is a 65

@bizarreRN thank you. Are you enrolled into City Tech?

No problem. Yes I graduated from city tech's NUR associates and now im in the 2nd sem RN to BSN program at city tech. I graduate in the spring sem when you probably start the program lol.

@bizarreRN Any advice to stay afloat if I get into the program?

I will be working full time, which worries me, but I have no choice (sadly).

Every semester is different. Our cut off GPA for the semester I applied was a 3.5 although I heard som students get in with a 3.3. The teas score depends on the median passing score. For my year the passing score was a 65. What I heard is they start from a 4.0 and work their way down without even looking at the teas score but making sure that you passed with the 65. Once they get down to the 3.5s they start looking at teas scores (the higher the better) Bc they compare it to other students that are around that same GPA grade to see who they choose. Every year it changes so I'm not sure if this is the way they still do it. Do make sure this is something you really want to do as the program is difficult. Best of luck.

Hi, Pammy-29 did you get to apply to NYCCT nursing program for Spring 2018?
