Cum Laude..graduating with honors...

Published

I was reading into graduating with honors on my NS's website. It says that they decide after grades come out at the end of the 3rd semester. It is determined based on "the cumulative GPA at the School of Nursing." There are 3 different levels of Cum Laude that you are awarded with at graduation. one is for 3.5-3.74, 3.75-3.89, and the top is 3.9-4.0.....So my question is, does that cumulative GPA include all your pre-req grades or is it just the grades you make within the school of nursing?

Typically it's based on all the classes you take at that college/university, whether or not the classes were with in the school of nursing. So if you took your pre-reqs at the same school, those would likely count. If you took them someplace else, I don't think they would be added in.

Agree with previous post. Ask someone at the school to find out for certain.
