Cultural Care for European Americans

Hello! I am hoping that somebody out there can help me! I am currently working on a powerpoint presentation on Cultural Assessment of European Americans. I need to include a section on physical assessment issues specific for this group. Any ideas? I am stumped, and most of the research I have found indicates they are the majority of people seeking health care, routine ob/gyn exams, mental health, etc... and that normal values tend to be based on this group.

I also have to do a section on illnesses common for this group. I have included MS, cystic fibrosis, skin CA, hemochromatosis, IBD/ Crohn's, and spinal muscular atrophy. Can you think of any others I may be missing? Or areas to search on the web? I pulled CDC info for the top 10 causes of death and have included that in my research, so it covers the basic cardiac/ CA/ accidents/ renal etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Go to your school's library (or the largest academic library near you) and look up Cultural Competency or Culturally Competant Care - there should be some books there that can help you. (Yes, I realize what a horrible burden it is to actually go to a library.)

Additionally, you should probably narrow your search down a bit further - there are a number of ethnic groups from Europe that you can focus on, and each have their own things going on.
