Hi there. I am trying to help a Cuban doctor that has recently sought asylum in the US get her affairs in order. Her goal is to eventually get accredited to work as a doctor here but she is absolutely willing to start as a CNA, PCA, etc. Does anyone have any experience with this? She recently got her ID card and tomorrow will get a soc sec number. Which means she can start applying for jobs. But I know with Cuba it is tricky because they won't send any transcripts because she, for all practical purposes, escaped.
The doctor can't work as a nurse, many foreign educated doctors work in research since they can often study for their medical licensing exams and network with other doctors about the process.
