Thanks Richard!

Any tips on how to set ourselves up for success before the start of the program?  I know you are in the middle of all the action now!   Would love to get your honest take on how the program is going so far. And if there is anything you would have done ahead of time to prepare.

So excited, me too! Definitely appreciate any advice :)

I'd say first off, enjoy your time off before the program starts. It's more than full time to start. You need to be available for all dates and times according to the program. Mandatory means mandatory. Second, get organized! Keep on top of all communication, stay current on all compliance items, and get that calendar ready. I think the biggest issue for me was how to prepare and I got the straight A nursing boot camp, studied with registered nurse RN, but when the program started, I realized the material is taught how they want us to learn it. So I wouldn't go rushing into buying any of that before start of the program.

it's doable. It truly is, or else the program wouldn't have such a high success rate. But be ready to give it your all. Don't work unless you absolutely have to. Only one person in our cohort of 70 is working. There's just no time.

Fire away with more questions. I'm excited for you all!

Where do most of you live? I live in Broomfield right now and am trying to figure out if it makes sense to move closer or not. My partner works in Boulder so we're trying to find a happy medium.

I live in thornton and commute to Lone tree everyday. For the first few months you'll mostly be in class down south, so it'll be a daily drive to and from. Most commute, Denver, Broomfield, Loveland, Golden. Not ideal daily but I don't think it would be worth it to move. The commute might give you extra time to take your mind off class or listen to lectures.

Yes,  where would be a good place to live? I'm from out of state. Our cohort is split between lone tree and amc campus.  Not sure how bad traffic is, or how much weather impacts travel.

Also, the south building is a Douglas County school so it'll follow DCSD rules with weather. I don't think weather will be a concern. They usually have class online or late start if its bad. It's never bad bad here  hahaha

Good to know! It looks like it'll be ~40 for me to Lone Tree, depending on traffic. How often are you at the lone tree campus vs Aurora? What time do classes usually start? According to Google, it could take up to 1.5 hours during morning rush hour, which I'm not sure I'm down for LOL

We've never had a class at anschutz.
