CSUSM Spring cohort 2010

hello,

I'm new to allnurses but I was wondering if anyone on the forums got accepted to CSUSM's spring cohort for 2010. I know that the cohort has recently been canceled because of school budget cuts, but I wanted to know if anyone was interested the meeting up and signing a petition or writing a letter to the university's president regarding the situation. My friend and I both got accepted and are planning on meeting with the nursing adviser soon. We both find it unfair that the school would send us acceptance letters and then inform us that the cohort is now canceled and that we would have to apply again next year without any gaurentee of being accepted.

What did she say about the funding-like why they gave up so quickly if not much funding was needed? Do you think we should still try to write to the head of SON or just give up at this point?
