CSUSM ABSN FALL 2020

Hi, Starting this for anyone applying to the FALL 2020 cohort at CSUSM. I think the deadline is March 11th. Good luck everyone!

Thats cool! How early did you apply? Does anyone know if they use other criteria besides points when accepting? I hope we find out soon. I'm trying to figure out if I want to still move to SD in August when my lease is up, even though we wouldn't start until January.

My application for Summer 2020 is rolling into the Fall 2020 application. I’m wondering if anyone has been offered Fall spots yet?

I applied the first day available. I think it was in December.

No points is the only thing they use. They just go by the GPAs and the TEAS

Hey guys, I got a question. I understand that our start date has been pushed back to Spring 2021. If we decide to start a different nursing program and do it for two semesters, (Summer 2020 and Fall 2020), and then decide to drop out to start the CSUSM ABSN Spring 2021 semester, do you guys think it will affect our admission status for this ABSN?

This would be a question for the office. And you would still have to do 2 years at CSUSM.

Yeah I would definitely call and ask but it would probably be pointless because you would pay to not finish one and then still have to fully complete the ABSN at CSUSM. they don’t take nursing credits from incomplete programs

Thank you for your input. Yeah, the main reason I asked is to see whether the nursing credit would transfer and affect my admission. I'll be sure to contact them

I called to confirm, and the person I talked to stated that it would not affect my admission status.

Furthermore, she stated that they are still processing the people who will be admitted for Fall 2020. We, the Spring 2021 applicants, would probably not hear back about our admission status until June till later
