Csusm absn fall 2016

Hey guys!

So I was accepted last Friday and wanted to give a little information/tips for those of you who are waiting to hear back and do get accepted.

I found out on the portal, I went to student center and scrolled to the bottom and next to my application it said "Fall 2016" "admitted" and "accept/decline." Later that night I received the actual email that I was accepted. So check your portals often!

Within 24 hours of acceptance, you will not be able to accept and pay the $150 intent to enroll deposit. When you click "accept/decline" and "accept" then "make payment," it pops up a window that asks for a parent pin and log in. This goes away after 24 hours. I emailed extended learning asking about it and that's what they told me to wait a few days.

After a few days, I tried again and was given an error that said I did not have authorization or needed to enable cookies. I enabled cookies and was still unable to make the payment. I called extended learning and they told me that's an issue a few people have been having and they were going to work with IT about it. They took my payment over the phone and now my portal says "submitted intent to enroll" next to my application.

I just wanted you guys to know because I was stressed out about not being able to accept admission. You have 2 weeks from acceptance to accept or decline the admission. If you're experiencing the issues I was, I suggest calling and paying over the phone. I hope that saves some people from stress and phone calls/emails back and forth with extended learning!

HAS ANYONE LOGGED IN TO MYCSUSM AND STUDENT CENTER ,AND SEEN THIS MESSAGE that says NO Pending Application at this time? Instead of the Accept/decline. I dont know if its a good things or BAD:(

@apisha My application says that too when I log into my.csusm.edu

I called the office last week and asked them about it and they told me that it's because I applied for summer 2016 originally but I didn't meet the priority date and since that semester application is now closed, it says that my application is no longer pending in the CSUSM portal. They said but my application is still open though and I talked to the advisor and he said that I am suppose to get an acceptance letter by March 18. What semester did you originally apply for?

I applied for spring or summer too. Did u ask the advisor that question? And did the advisor say it's guaranteed that u will receive letter by 18th?

When I called to ask them about the mycsusm, they just told me either I got accepted or rejected that's why the page says that. How did u get hold of a advisor?

@apisha I talked directly to the advisor last week. When I called extended learning office, they transferred my call to him because they didn't know the answer to my question. Idk if it is guaranteed but he looked at the ranking sheet and he told me that I should be expecting one. I got 34 points and I noticed someone recently got 33 points and already received an acceptance letter so I am kinda worried on why I didn't get mine yet. I was going to call after March 18 if I didn't receive acceptance yet. When you call, you should ask to talk to the advisor about the status of your application. The office also told me today that the fall 2016 cohort will not be filled up until after March 18. The wait is stressful :sorry:

Thank you for the info Angela.I will try calling them on Monday. I have called so many times that's the girl already knows my name. It's almost embarrassing.

No I haven't. I called the office and asked for advisor. They gave me her email address. I just emailed her asking the progress of my application.
