I just received a letter in the mail notifying me that I was accepted to the Winter 2012 nursing cohort; has anyone else received a letter. :)

WOW congrats! what was your stats if I may ask?

i am hoping to get in for next fall!

I have a 4.0 in the science prerequisites, and a 3.8 overall. I scored an 87.1% on the TEAS test. I also turned in the two letters of recommendation.

NICE STATS!

question though: when you say 4.0 in science do you just mean pre reqs or just the sciences?

i am just wondering how competitive I am

pre-req (chem and math in progress, currently 96% in both classes) 3.83

Overall 3.15 and rising (should be like 3.2+ after this semester)

TEAS 82% but i am retaking this friday

2 letters of rec on the way

trying to get a "bilingual letter" from someone lol

attended the info session a few months ago, good for fall 2012, and winter 2013 application cycles

So do you think i am competitive enough?

again congrats and let me know how the program is after you start!

When I say overall GPA, I mean the prerequisite classes such as Micro, Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, English, Math, Critical Thinking, and Speech. When I say 4.0 in the sciences, I mean the science prerequisites. They don't count any classes other than your prerequisites. The bilingual letter will help you; I also think it's a good idea, as you said, to retake the TEAS test. Good luck to you too!! Hope you get in as well; apply to all the schools you can. Also, I've heard that Winter is easier to get into than the Fall, so if you don't get in the program in the fall, don't give up, try for the Winter too :-)

I will try to remember to post once I'm in the program.

I also applied at CSULB, I'm waiting for the reply from them too. If I get in at CSULB, that is most likely where I will go since they have the two year option. I have a four year old, and if I can, I would like to get out of school and in to a job as soon as possible.

Oh wow. Good luck to you. I think CSULB has one of the better programs but I will take whichever I get into.

Yes I'm apply to as many schools as possible. I hope to get a better TEAS score and get a bilingual letter, which I'm not really bilingual but if you cam prove with a coworker or somethong that your intermediate enough then your ok. I need all the points I can get!

HI..how does CSUSB calculate the points for the nursing program like how is it broken down? i cant find it anywhere on the web?
