Hey everyone!

Well we made it mighty far and now we are done with pre reqs and on to applying!

I am applying to the 2012 cohort and would like to invite everyone else that is applying to post here for any questions, concerns or comments!

Well I am about to put in my application. So far I have all pre reqs done, pending algebra this winter intersession. My Teas test is done, my letters of rec are on their way and basically all I am waiting for is final transcripts!

Good luck to everyone who applied

Let the wait begin!

Yes, someone else was notified as an alternate and then got a call that they were offered a spot. I think, today is the last day for people to notify the dept. So those that are going somewhere else or didn't make a decision, lose their spot. Alternates then get notified asking if they want a spot.

Hopefully you get notified alvat! I am rooting for ya

Next Tuesday is orientation so hopefully they start letting people know, ASAP!

Darkblue, so they had called your friend? Not sent a letter?

She said that she got a letter (i believe) that said she was an alternate. Then she got a call offering her a spot.

I bet that all this week they will be calling potential alternates!

thanks! yes thats what they told me. they will send a letter then try calling. just double checking b/c it seems they keep giving me contradicting info.

Hey everyone, I hope some of you still check this thread so I can get some help! I am currently waiting to apply for the Winter 2013 CSUSB Nursing program. So far I am content with my stats. HOWEVER, I do not know wether or not I am considered a county resident or not. My first time calling CSUSB Nursing dept. I was informed that as long as I live in the SB County, I am considered a resident. A week later, I called again and was told that you are only considered a resident if the Community College you attended before applying to CSUSB is within the SB County... So which is correct?! Did anyone here go to Mt. SAC and get accepted with the 5 points for being a SB resident?

I went to mtsac and got accepted for fall 2012. Granted I was an alternate, I still ended up with a spot in the nursing program. What I believe is, if you live in sb county, you should be able to get the 5 points because I myself live in sb county and got the points. I don't know if they changed the rule on the residential points for winter 2013, but if you do live in sb county, you should be able to get the points. Have you attended an advising session for nursing in csusb?

am90 is correct. I did not attend a school in SB county either. I moved to SB county mid way thru the application cycle and got the points. I would make sure you email or call the actual person that evaluates. The reason being is that they have made a change already to the GPA requirement and TEAS requirement. They might have made a change regarding the county and foriegn language, which I heard was coming. Worst case scenario, is you don't get in. If your comfortable with you stats, then I say go for it. Winter is easier to get into than fall, from what I hear. Our cohorts averages were the highest recorded ever as well. So keep that in mind and good luck! I hope to see you in winter! :)

Hey everyone,

I was posting because I am applying for Winter 2013. I want to post my stats to see if I can get some feedback. My prerequisite GPA is 4.0 and my overall GPA is 3.96. I feel good about that section but my TEAS score is a 76.0%. Should I retake the TEAS or just apply with the stats I have now? I am also receiving credit for both letter of recs, bilingual proficiency, and residency. Any feedback will be great. Thanks so much!
