Hey everyone!

Well we made it mighty far and now we are done with pre reqs and on to applying!

I am applying to the 2012 cohort and would like to invite everyone else that is applying to post here for any questions, concerns or comments!

Well I am about to put in my application. So far I have all pre reqs done, pending algebra this winter intersession. My Teas test is done, my letters of rec are on their way and basically all I am waiting for is final transcripts!

@DarkBlue, I cannot respond to you PM, it says I need to participate 15 times or something like that. (This is my 15th post). No, I have not received the letter yet. Im hoping tomorrow, and that is GREAT news. Thank you that gives me hope !

Yes I agree. I haven't gotten anything yet either That would suck if I WASN'T accepted?! I would be livid! Especially since i declined to RCC.

Oh well. I figure maybe it got lost if I don't have it by Monday.

Letters were sent out two to three days ago. Alyssa, I remember you saying you changed your address to one near campus, do you think they could've mailed your letter to your new address?

Hey. I bet its at the new address (my Aunts house) but she has been on vacation and so I am still stuck at my old house packing things up. I bet its there. Since I don't have a key yet I can't get the mail.

Family will hopefully be back by Sun which is cool. I work all weekend and the dept is closed til Monday anyway. That way I can pick up the letter, make copies and send in my acceptance as well since I am out that way.

Just wish I had the official 'acceptance' lol. Oh well. We have until like end of July anyway so thats good.

lnd: you excited to start? I wish orientation was sooner because some of that stuff can take over a month to obtain. I just renewed my CPR today so thats one thing down. I would start like the hep B and DTAP vaccinations now though if you can. And definitely start on your titers just in case so you may be able to skip some of the vaccinations if your immune.

If not such a hassle, can anyone list the immunizations required to start the program? I've searched the campus website and no luck. I'd like to start getting them in the event of being an alternate or just being prepared for Winter quarter! & Clayton has yet to respond... If it's too lengthy or too much of a hassle no problem, I can wait :)

Well I wish I wouldn't have threw away RCC giant list of crap we need. I know its not the list that CSUSB has but its good to start with the major ones you would need.

I think getting everything except the TB would make you definitely well prepared for the winter. I know some common ones were: TB (two step most likely), Varicella (chix pox one, titer and shot series, but with a pos titer, you probably can waive the shots), Hep B (titer AND 3 series, although if your immune via titer then its waived), Flu, TDAP, polio, hep A... Thats all that I can remember. I would get your CPR this summer as well. You DO NOT want it expiring during the school year. Then they won't let you register I believe.

I wish I knew if we needed a form or something for them to sign off our immunizations or else I would at least start the DTAP and the titers. I heard the DTAP hurts and keeps your arm sore for days. Ugh. I hate shots and blood tests for that matter.

Oh me too. I am bummed that we have like practically a month til orientation! I should announce the fb group at orientation huh, so more of our cohort can join?

I hope the vaccines aren't to bad. Try to find your vaccine record now if you can. If you don't have it then go to your high school you graduated from, they will always have a copy. That way you can see what you need. I am bringing mine so I can compare to what I need.
