CSULB Spring 2018

I just thought i would like to start a thread :) I'm applying for Spring 2018 as a transfer student. Anyone else applying? I'm still trying to finish my science courses. It's so competitive! I just thought it's better to start one, the earlier the better. lol and maybe we can help each other guys.

I know other cohorts create facebook groups. That way people can share important info and stay on track throughout this whole process. We should do that too!

My stats:

Science GPA: 4.0

GE GPA: 4.0

Overall TEAS: 83%

TEAS Reading: 83.3%

Overall my score is 9.326, which I'm trying to raise. I scheduled to retake my TEAs on Saturday 9/9 (even though the deadline is Sunday 9/10), since you get your score asap and I thought I'd be able to send it to CSULB on the spot. But when I took it for the 1st time on Saturday at a different school, they said that I wouldn't be able to send it until Monday.

Should I wait to submit my app after I retake it or do my stats right now already give me a fair chance? I heard it's less competitive in the spring, so I'm praying!

You should call the School Of Nursing and ask if you can submit your current score and update it after you take it again! Better safe than sorry!

Hi ellebcsm I just got into fall 2017 cohort which starts in 3 weeks.

I would say looking at the pool stats from last spring and the one prior you have a good shot of getting in. I would say always retaking the TEAS for a better score is a great idea.

If you take the TEAS at CSULB you can submit your score right away since they have it on file. However, if you take it at another school, I believe you have to send your scores over through the ATI portal.

Did you submit your application for the SON or the university? The deadline for the SON application is September 10. The SON will get back to us in October. Hope this helps! :)

I only applied for the university as of right now which is why I'm a little confused. It says that the SON will be emailing us after September 1st; however I have read that some of the applicants already turned in their supplemental applications to SON. Do I have to wait to get the email from SON?
