CSULB Spring 2018

I just thought i would like to start a thread :) I'm applying for Spring 2018 as a transfer student. Anyone else applying? I'm still trying to finish my science courses. It's so competitive! I just thought it's better to start one, the earlier the better. lol and maybe we can help each other guys.

Competitive is good.

California State University Long Beach won't put you in the poor house.

Look them up and all the California state schools and be glad they exist.

Go to (collegescorecard.ed.gov) and see that they actually do what they say and produce nursing graduates and not debt ridden, life ruined indentured servants.

Hey! I'm applying for Spring 2018 too! Finishing up my last semester at Citrus College now. I took the TEAS V last year, and now there's the TEAS 6 they need. I'm going to take it soon. I know that its worth two points, but I couldn't find the chart that breaks down which scores gets you what part of those two points. Do you have it by any chance?

Hello everyone,

I'll be applying for spring 2018 as a transfer student. I just took the teas and got an individual score of 70.3% and reading 74,5% . Im so dissapointed on My scores! Should i retake The teas test? Thanks!

Hello! I am also applying. I have finished all my prerequisites and have taken the TEAS once. I will be taking it two more times this summer. I wish everyone the best of luck! :)

15 days till SON starts accepting applications!!!!

Just wondering what everyone's stats are? Mine are as following...

GE GPA: 4.0

Science GPA: 4.0

Overall TEAS score: 85.3%

TEAS reading score: 87.2%

Total score: 9.45/10

Four points for your science GPA, two points for prereq GE GPA, two points for overall TEAS score and another two points for TEAS reading. :)

transfer students: do any of you know if we can still have GE classes in progress (fall semester) while applying for the spring? or do all 60 units need to be completed before even applying?

@ariesfire We have to have our A1, A2, A3, and Stat 108 (four GE) completed and four sciences completed for the SON. However for the school itself I'm not sure. Here is a link pertaining to your question. Transfer Application and Admission

Hi Eeyonce24! You should definitely be getting in with that score!

My score is:

GPA:4.0

SCIENCE GPA:4.0

TEAS OVERALL: 94.7

TEAS READING: 97.9

Veteran Point as well.

I'll be submitting my application to the University tonight, and then we don't submit a supplemental application until September 1st, right?

TonyZ, you have awesome scores! I'm sure you'll get in!

The window for submitting the School of Nursing application is from August 1- September 10. You can turn it in with your official transcript anytime between those two dates. :)

I know other cohorts create facebook groups. That way people can share important info and stay on track throughout this whole process. We should do that too!
