CSULB Fall 2013 BSN

I just submitted my application yesterday and thought I'd start a thread for this process! I was involved in one last year when I applied, and it was really helpful to know what was going on, and where my stats where with others! I was told that they are expecting over 500 applicants, and we would hear back by the end of February! Good luck everyone!

Another day of waiting down! I truly hope that there are not any additional budget issues. Hopefully we'll be celebrating this weekend?!?!

I hope tomorrow is the day because interviews are supposed to take place either next week or the week after :/ And if I get called I'll definitely celebrate this weekend!

Has anyone heard word on what day the interviews are? Oh I hope we get word today! Here's to another day of checking emails much too frequently :)

all she said was this week or the next. i want to call the department again but i'm sure they receive a lot of phone calls regarding interview e-mails so i'm making myself wait.

I just called the nursing department. They seem to be still looking at the applications. the person I spoke to said that there were over 650 applications. They are still in the process of looking at everyone. She said that there was no set date to send out the emails. So there is no way that we can really know when we will get a invite. I guess we just have to keep on waiting.

Wow 650+ applications most likely means that the average profile score is much higher :( thanks for the info. Can the updates get any better (with sarcasm)??

Last applicant pool was around 450ish????

Yes there were 479 applicants for fall 2012. And for our pool, 200 more than that.

Wow that's incredible. Well, last year the cutoff was 9.1, which I believe was higher than ever. Fingers crossed and stay positive!
