CSULB Fall 2013 BSN

I just submitted my application yesterday and thought I'd start a thread for this process! I was involved in one last year when I applied, and it was really helpful to know what was going on, and where my stats where with others! I was told that they are expecting over 500 applicants, and we would hear back by the end of February! Good luck everyone!

Ya, now I'm checking my email and this site every 10 minutes waiting for a response. I felt so confident and now I'm laughing at how nervous I am! Gotta stay positive! Looking forward to seeing that email in my inbox! Hopefully today!

Hey there's way more people in this chat now! I'm so scared now if it really is true that people received acceptances already! Ahh I'm the same as you redwards6, constantly checking my email and this site! I'll let you all know if I receive and email. More info please LA.ER.RN!

Hi again. Sorry for rattling everyone up. My friend has heard from CSULB but he's in a different major. I called up CSULB and they said Nursing was the last major to send letters out. The School of Nursing then said that we won't hear until April or so regarding acceptance. I just had a question, how do you calculate your score? Thanks

Did everyone get an automatic confirmation that their application was complete? Or did you hand to call to check on yours specifically? I didn't get anything so now I am super worried. :( I know someone said that they are going to email us in the next two weeks, but I wish they would hurry. The wait is killing me.

Okay now I'm not going to be able to sleep. Hopefully by that time they can also let us know whether we're alternates or not. It makes sense that it should be around this time that they conduct interviews. Does anyone know whether it will be e-mail?phone call?both?

They'll email us regarding invites for interviews. The score is out of 10. 4 points for your science GPA, 2 points for your overall GPA, 2 points for your teas score, and 2 points for your teas math score.

@choe.cm, there's no automatic confirmation of the application being complete that I know of. I turned in my application to nursing's admission coordinator -- I guess that's the best confirmation yet? You can call and ask them though.

On the CSULB website you can actually check your application status :) You just need your ID # they gave you when you first applied to the school. Here's the website: https://my.cms.csulb.edu/psp/pa91prd/EMPLOYEE/SA/c/LB_HR_CUSTOM.LB_APS_SS.GBL
