I just submitted my application yesterday and thought I'd start a thread for this process! I was involved in one last year when I applied, and it was really helpful to know what was going on, and where my stats where with others! I was told that they are expecting over 500 applicants, and we would hear back by the end of February! Good luck everyone!

The "list" is put up after the interviews (3-4 weeks after). The list will indicate the ranking and your alternate number. The official acceptance letter will also indicate your alternate number.

Gmo, I read this whole thread and I remember you said you were sitting next to alternate #10. How did you know that if on the interview day you didn't know whether or not you were on the alternate list?

Thanks gmo, that info helps! And optimind, are you talking about for fall 2013 the cutoff is 9.1? Because I know that was the cutoff for fall 2012.

According to my friend, it's this year. She kept calling you - know - who about the status and was told that. But don't take my words on this...

I was sitting next to her at the Orientation. If you're invited to the interview and accepted to the University, count on being included in the Orientation.

Oh I see. I was in the orientation in fall 2011 (accepted as biochem major), not sure if I need to take that orientation again if I'm accepted to nursing school.

The orientation is in august, I think. It's bizarre to wait the whole summer if you're on the alternate list.

Nursing program has its own Orientation, sk most likely you would have to attend.

It's hard to say...depends on the cutoff. It all depends on everyone's circumstances. Don't rule it out until the first day of fall Semester ; ) Each pool is different.
