CSULB Fall 2012 BSN

U.S.A. California

Hi!

I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!

Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?

It just goes to show, you shouldn't lose hope just because you're on the WL. For those still on the waitlist, you still have a chance. Others may drop out this summer!

Congrats!! So I'm curious to know who will be choosing trimester and basic. Do you guys mind sharing which one you're going for? I'm trying to see what my odds are for doing basic (I'm assuming more people want to do trimester and get it overwith faster, I hope!).

Mostly everyone gets into the plan they want, so I wouldn't stress over it. There are usually more people who want to do the basic program though.

I'm totally stressing because I HAVE to work 20 hours per week throughout the program and I'm a mommy to a 2 year old so it'd be practically impossible to do trimester (those summers would be out of the question ).

Hey everyone,

Quick question for those of you who are finished with the student packet: To the health insurance requisite, did you all already have previous private insurance or you sign up with the UnitedHealth care group that is affiliated with CSULB? I don't have personal insurance --never had-- and I'm looking for options as I thought the UHC is a bit pricy.

I have an appointment to get my physical and titers done on Thursday, but if I need pay for insurance anyways, mind as well to cancel my appointment and sign up for the insurance first then get exams done.

I will be doing the trimester program :)

For basic..good luck...study hard...and get ready to do many many long hours of preplan....by the way..i just finished first semester.

I see. Hopefully you get into basic! Hopefully we all get into the program plan we want!

What do you mean good luck for basic? You're making it seem like basic is harder than trimester

In first semester, tri and basic are same...except...teachers...

I'm not sure how the new comers' schedule would be like during 2nd semester...you guys will probably go through winter phase....but 2nd semesters students got bombed on...

trimester will be harder.

Has anyone signed up for SOAR workshop? If so, they are offering 2 different day "all majors" and "College of health & human services," should we choose one over the other?

Hi Victor,

I think you can chose either one.

I chose "College of health & human services."

Hope this will help you.

I chose all majors but college of health & human sciences is what nursing majors fall under so either one is okay!
