U.S.A. California

Hi!

I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!

Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?

Since we are starting in the Fall 2012, we will complete semester 3 and 6 in the summers. Semester 3 includes critical care nursing and psychiatric/mental health nursing. So I guess we will have 6 weeks for each of those in the summer for 2013.

Oh! That clears things up! Thank you so much guys :)

Yeah the summer semester is made up of two 6 week blocks, so it's 12 weeks as opposed to 16 weeks in a regular semester. So the third semester, which also supposedly the hardest semester, is cut short about 4 weeks. :/

Trimester students graduate August 2014.

Has anyone bought a uniform yet? I noticed that the price of the uniform from Dove is very expensive compare to other brand.

Originally, I was thinking to buy two set of uniform, but now I am not sure. I may just buy one set, and then I will see if there is another way to buy a cheaper uniform.

I believe they won't let us buy uniforms anywhere else because they want us all to have the same ones.

That I thought.

I was just disappointed that I couldn't find Dove uniform in any discounted store.

Why don't you buy some used ones from the CNSA? I bought my pants for $15 and they are in good condition!

I have for sale (hardly used) a men's large Uniform shirt with the patch already sewn on and a men's large lab coat also with the patch sewn on. I also have the entire elsevier e-books for sale (These e-books are really great, and I could carry all my textbooks in my computer. Since I no longer have need for these items, I am selling them at a greatly discounted price. If you haven't read in my previous posts, I have left the CSULB nursing program and will be leaving for Scotland in September to get my Masters in Research in Infection and Immunobiology at the University of Glasgow.

As per terms of service, I can't list costs on here, but if you are interested, please send me a pm, and we can talk more about getting you some of these items.

I didn't know e-books were transferable. Did you find e-books useful and did you use them often?

I found the e-books so useful that I sold all my bound books on Amazon, because i knew that I wasn't going to use them. It comes with the "Pageburst" program which allows you to download all of the books on to a laptop and take them wherever you go. You can search, outline, and create your own study guides. They truly are amazing, but they aren't for everyone. Some of my classmates feel that they needed the regular books to outline, scribble on, lug around, etc., but it's just up to the individual and how you want to study. Having the e-books during careplanning is amazing, because you can copy and paste information into your careplans which is in fact encouraged by your professors.

E-books aren't technically transferable, but I'm giving up access to my evolve account, because I know I won't ever use it again. You would have everything you need and I plan to throw in .pdf files of the Pharmacology book and the Pathophysiology books as well.

@Lavender Butterfly,

Clear out your PVT message box, because it says that it is full...then I can respond to your private message.

Thanks for the heads up. I hate when it says that. There's only 3 messages in there!!
