No, they're admitting 80. The final 80 are already selected. Spring 2016 had 80 admits as well.

I feel so silly...but where does this information come from (that they have finalized the 80 for fall 2016)? I see some of you have already gone to interviews (I think?). Did they let you know there? Also, how do you know about the 80 and ...all these things? Do you simply call the office? Thanks in advance :)

They sent out emails to those invited for the interview/communication exercise. That will be held next week 3/9. Everyone's just setting up their appointment times now. When I called I asked her if I was interviewing for the admits or the alternate list. And she said I rank #73 out of 80 that are being admitted. So the first 80 are already selected. However, everyone else interviewing is, I assume, for ranking on the alternate list. Everyone that doesn't get admitted or disqualified will be placed on the alternate list. However I assume if u royaly mess up at the interview, or there's an issue wth ur paperwork, or u don't pass background check, etc that will move people up the list. So the 80 won't necessarily start. They tend to go thru a lot of people on the alternate list. Last fall they pulled in like 28 alternates.

As far as the info, i researched a lot of past forums on allnurses of prior students and just word of mouth from other students. I also looked at the pool stats they posted on the school website for each year.

All the past forums say the communication exercise doesn't really change ur ranking. That if ur interviewing for the admits, ur pretty much already in. But again, idk for certain, this is just what past students have said and posted online.

I calculated my score to be a 9.38 and haven't heard anything...if my teas had been just a touch higher...well, I wish you all the best with your interview/communication exercise!

just for extra clarification, so i called in and she said i was #71 but i forgot to ask if that was for the alternate or admitting list. based on your post, you're saying that if she gave you a rank (and my points was 9.51), that i'm pretty much selected for admittance if i just do well on the communication exercise? i mean that is definitely good news to me but for some reason it doesn't sit right ! i just expected the whole process to be extremely competitive and i didn't think my stats were too strong...

I think ur in. :) at least i hope i interpreted the information right. last fall they had much higher stats. The lowest was 9.55. But this spring the lowest was like 9.31 or soemthing. Ur stats are good, there's just so many people applying so there's gonna be a lot of good students out there to compete with. It's better, our cohort will be strong. :) good luck!

i wonder if the # means our place in the line, or if they're just randomized #s given to the 80. regardless, i hope what you're saying is true!! lol good luck to you too! thanks for the info :)

I have a 9.45 and when I called, the lady told me I am ranked #82 and said " You're either on the bottom of the admit list or the top of the alternate list" ... Should I be worried? LOL She also said that some people might fail the interview so.. ? Don't know how I should feel!

Thank goodness for this thread! I found my interview invitation in my spam folder. I'll be calling Monalisa tomorrow between 10am-4pm to schedule my interview. Thank you guys, and shout out to everyone trying their hardest right now!
