I cant see the picture. I only asked because I've heard they were all white but I know that previous years they had white tops and dark blue bottoms.

Go on Instagram and search #CSULBNursing and you will see how the uniforms look like :) They're white top and navy blue bottom but uniforms can always change every year. In 2014, the tops had collars and it was a zip up scrub top.

According to Spring 2016, there are four classes your first semester: NRSG 200, NRSG 302, NRSG 304, and NUTR 339. We either belong in group 1 or group 2

Does anyone know if we have to complete NRSG 302 & 304 by the 1st semester? Would prefer to take it at a community college to save $$ but then that means this summer semester is the only time I could. Also if I already took nutrition somewhere else before, I hope that I wouldn't have to take NUTR 339 (?).

NTRS 339 is specifically Nutrition for Nursing. So unless you took a nutrition class solely for nursing then you probably aren't exempt. I took a nutrition class too but since we were all pre-nursing, I doubt we have taken that course before. As for 304 and 302, I wanted to take it at a CC in the summer too but the CC that offers it has multiple pre reqs so i cant take it even if i wanted to. If you can, your first semester would be much easier for you because I heard pharmacology and pathophysiology are pretty much the hard class nursing students talk about their first semester.

I took pharmacology and pathophys at a community college so I get you wanting to save $ but I believe that if you don't have it finished before the first semester you must take it at csulb during that semester. & for nutrition, only certain classes transfer for that class. If you took a basic nutrition class it most likely transfers as NUTR 132.

Gotcha. Yeah I feel like it would be a good idea to try to get at least 1 of those classes out of the way so we have some more "leisure" during that semester. Also, I noticed in the previous posts something about sending in your transcripts. They didn't tell us to do that yet, did they? I've already accepted on MyCSULB but haven't done any other steps... just waiting for the next e-mail. Feel un-easy just waiting around! lol

Oh okay I see. Thanks for the clarification. Do you think it would be too much to take both classes during the summer semester? I found one as an online course.

Well as the previous post said, our schedules are assigned to us. We don't get to pick our classes. On the Nursing page, it also says that all our classes are in a specific order until graduation.

As for the transcripts, I got an email from Admissions a couple of days ago letting me know I got accepted into the university and that I need to send in transcripts within 30 days of the notice. It also told me to accept or decline admission by June 1st.

Probably depends on how comfortable you are with online or summer classes. The classes have a lot of information to learn. And I have my pharmacy tech license so the pharmacology class is a review for me. If you don't have any background in either it might be a lot to do in the summer. But if you're not working and have all your time to commit to the classes then you should be fine :)

Right. But if we have to take 4 required courses the 1st semester, and complete one before the program begins, we would only have to take 3 courses which allows more leisure and time.

Hmm, i didn't receive that sort of e-mail. Could be because I am a 2nd bach?

It asked for me to send my transcript within 30 days of my admissions offer on the admissions e-mail and it was on my to do list on mycsulb. Double check both of those.

Yeah, exactly why I wanted to take it this summer! What school do you find the online class at? Was it part of the list of accepted courses on the nursing page ?
