Hey there!
So i am applying for fall 2012 and I am wondering who else is? It might be kind of early but do have a few question before I apply. Their website is line of confusing. I guess you have to apply and become a student at CSUF?
If anyone is applying that is a transfer, could you explain the process?
Thanks and good luck everyone

Hey BeachBedHead! You apply under the Health science major and then once you get accepted to the school thats when you apply to the actual nursing program..I'm a transfer student as well
Hey again!
Did you apply to CSUF for fall or spring? I don't attend a OC community college so I know I wont get accepted because I am not a "local" applicant.
I would prefer to apply for fall, but it seems like your not supposed to do it?
I'm applying for Fall 2012...you can apply for fall, I called the school b/c their website is confusing
Thank God someone else besides me is confused by their website. So its like all the other cal states? Apply for fall 2012 to university then apply to school of nursing?
They don't really tell you how much points you get for each category broken down. Ya know? Like I calculated 3.6-3.8 pre req GPA so how many points us that? Man I hope I get in! I live pretty close to CSUF.
I will be applying there for fall 2012. I thought they only had a rn-bsn
I'm pretty much not competitive.
Do you know if this is the first time CSUF is having an entry level BSN program? I can't find any threads on the subject, the threads I did find were about their EL-MSN or CRNA program. I know they had a RN-BSN program too. So I am kinda hoping that this is the first time for CSUF to have this kind of program.
if so, then that good cause many people might not know about it.:)

Hi BeachBedhead,
I just graduated from the first ever CSUF EL-BSN cohort in May. The EL-BSN program was introduced in CSUF in Fall 2008. Since then, the system has gotten more difficult and it seems that you'll have no luck getting into the program unless you get accepted into the university first (according to my friends who are trying to transfer there) because it's so impacted. Like a previous user said, you can apply as a Health Science major and then apply to the nursing program if you're accepted into the university. If you're confused about the requirements for the program, etc. you can contact the School of Nursing office and talk to one of the ladies managing the pre-licensure program. Hope this helps!
Hey diigi
thanks for the info
im applying for spring 2012 to the university. Im worried I wont get in for spring
so basically, if you get into the university, you chances at getting into the program go up?
