CSUEB FALL 2012

U.S.A. California

In the next week or so we should find out if we got in. Please don't tell me I'm the only one excited. I see no one on here talking about it. Good luck to all that applied!!!

I will be working as well. I hope it is manageable. I need to money for gas! But I only work like 8 hours a week though.

1waitingpatiently, I really recommend to you to attend CSUEB; I know that you will love it as much as I did. I totally think it is managable, 8 hours a week is not much. I was working 16 hours a week, it was a bad decision on my part, but like you, I need gas money too :). If I can get through nursing school and work 16 hours a week, you can definitely too!!

Thanks 123! I went for a tour yesterday and really feel that CSUEB is the right school for me. Love the small class size, beautiful campus, and the intimate feel of the school. The glowing recommendations of the program really make me excited. I am so ready! Can't wait to meet my fellow nursing students!!

Hey everyone!! I am curious to hear from ALL the people who were accepted to csueb fall 12 on what their stats were to get an idea for myself as I am applying for FALL 13 admissions! Can people please tell me there cum GPA, pre-reque GPA, TEAS V score, supplemental criteria! Thank you :loveya: I am already going crazy and its still so far away for me!

Here are my stats

Cum GPA-3.98

Pre-reques-4.0

havent taken TEAS yet

I have multi cultural volunteer work in brazil and nicaragua

Paid health care work for over a year with direct patient contact

Achase4848 are you really worried about getting in? Your GPA is amazing! Unless you do horrible on the TEAS, which seems highly unlikely based on your GPA, you are going to kick some nursing school application ass. No acting like your worried...you make all of us with horrible 3.7 GPA's feel bad (:

Hey guys if your attending the concord campus add our facebook group it is:

CSUEB nursing class of 2014 Concord

:nurse:

Hey guys, we are close to (choosing and) announcing the date for YOUR Orientation (Nursing - Class of 2014). Looking at late July in Concord. Stay tuned...you'll get an email with details.

Wow exciting, I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, I'm also already signed up for July 25th transfer student orientation ...so many orientations to look forward to..;))

yay, excited! looking fwd to it! :)

Hi PishiKat,

I'm also at the Concord campus this fall....i couldn't find a group on FB so I created one. Cheers :)

hey knittykitty i just pmed you

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has been accepted to the CSUEB Nursing (Class of 2014). I'm in the class of 2013 (at the Concord campus) and know how anxious I was waiting and waiting and waiting for the acceptance email to come...and how unbelievable it felt to finally get it!!! There has been some discussion here about which campus to choose (Hayward vs. Concord). Most people will choose based on which one is closer for them (shorter commute). I took pre-requisite classes on both campuses, and I can tell you that Concord is much smaller, parking is much easier, but both are great places. Concord is small, but in a great rural location (cows on the hillsides, turkeys wandering around campus...we even saw a coyote run across the hillside outside our classroom yesterday during Nursing Theory lecture...very cool. As the class one year ahead of you guys, we'll be putting together an Orientation day for your class....mostly likely to happen in early July. You'll be notified of the date as soon as we have it confirmed. It'll be a fun (full) day to meet your fellow classmates, tour the campus, meet the faculty and level II students...play some games, buy books, order nursing patches, sweatshirts, etc. Anyway...congrats again...this is a very competitive program (getting in)...you should feel very very proud of your accomplishment. See you soon!!

Dear gklin33,

I have been accepted for the Fall 2012 program at Hayward.

Would you mind telling me whether we are required to purchase books at orientation? I have always purchased my college textbooks second-hand and would love to continue doing so.

Please advise...

Sincerely,

David
