Hello - Like many of us BSN-RN's trekking the long journey, I am enrolled in the "conditionally admitted" FNP program at CSU Dominguez Hills for the fall 2014. Anyone else soon joining on this journey or taking this journey right now?
I think this is a list of questions we should ask during the orientation:
1.How many students are conditionally accepted in NP this semester ?
FNP questions I would like to ask during the orientation:
How many students are conditionally accepted in NP this semester ?
Why do you only accept 15after the second selection for NP? There is no other NP program with such a limited number of students .
Why did we have to pay for the workshop information and for the orientation?
Why should we spend 2 years with prerequisites AND core classes when the probability of being accepted is just 15%. Any other program will have JUST prerequisites as a requirement. No other NP program has core classes as a requirement for application. This is why it is called a core class.
Is is true that students who have graduated from CSUDH have an advantage for NP acceptance.
**Why is the number of times we can apply for the NP role limited to just to one? If we spend so much time preparing we should be allowed to apply for the NP role more than once.
Do the prerequisite first.
If you take 1or 2 classes , extended education option is cheeper.
If you almost done with prereqs. there is 50 $ mandatory orientation . Sign for the aplication orientation from the CSUDH SON web and ask as many question as you can during the orientation.FNP application is a two step process.Conditional acceptance is not part from the 2 steps.
