CSUCI Nursing Fall 2021

It is that time of the year again. I am currently applying to many different nursing schools but CSUCI is my too choice.

I wanted to start a thread for those applying to CSUCI for the Fall 2021 cohort so we can discuss progress or ask any questions!

Hi! I received an email for the interview I believe this week a year ago! I am pretty sure it was also on a Friday. I only got the e-mail through my CSUCI e-mail. I would keep checking everything though because if you have your person e-mail connected to your CI Records, it may also send to that one. Goodluck and I hope you hear something very soon!

Hi I got an invitation this afternoon for a zoom interview next month and I’m wondering if based on your experience if this is a promising sign of acceptance? They don’t sent out invites to all applicants that you know of right? These might be silly question but I’m just so nervous to hopefully get admitted! TYIA:)

Congrats on your interview!! I'd say there is a really good chance of securing a spot. I believe they interviewed around 75 people for our cohort of 48 people. Best of luck to you!

Congrats! I literally just got my email yesterday. I was curious , about the interview process and the type of questions the panel will ask. I’d appreciate any help!

Yay for you guys! I would prepare by having a brief "tell me about yourself" response down. Also focus on practicing scenario & personal experience questions. Then try to incorporate different nursing traits (interpersonal, compassion, integrity, etc.) and patient/community service into your responses! 

Our interview was on Zoom last year with about 5 students per group and 3 professors who ran the interview. Im not sure if your interview will be in person or not, but they already know your grades & test scores so just try to really show them your personality and that you are dedicated/serious about nursing! Goodluck to both of you!!  ☺️

Sorry one more thing! I remember one of my friends telling me to research the school & program - throw out some details about it in your responses.

The interview process will be via zoom. Which really makes it more stressful. Thank you for the tips!

has anyone heard back about their admission decisions for BSN fall 2022?

to previous applicants do you recall if admissions decisions are sent out all at the same time or in waves?
