I was wondering what everyone's application points are if you're applying to Stan State for the Spring 2022 nursing program

@ohmmkayy I haven't totaled up my points yet, but I'll start filling out my application today and see what it comes up to. 

So glad you started this thread because I thought it was a little too quiet on this board with the application window opening next week! 

Have you applied before to this program?  What are your points looking like?  Good luck! ?

@Sandrak haven't done my application yet, planning on taking my TEAS aug 6, it'll be my first time applying and im nervous bc it's the only school I'm applying to LOL my stats so far are a 4.0 GPA and 5 points for residency

 @ohmmkayyOh my goodness!  You must be studying like crazy!  Good luck to you I'm sure you'll do great on the TEAS!

I just calculated my score and if I get the full 5 points for my previous healthcare experience I should have 87 points.  I applied for Fall semester as was waitlisted so I'm hoping I get in this time.  

There are so many schools that were not accepting new applicants for Fall Semester so it really limits our access to programs, but I keep hoping!

@Sandrak studying like 8 hours a day I can't LOL do you remember what number you were last time? I feel like this application period is going to be more competitive bc there's a lot of bay area people applying
also is the application up yet? ik we're supposed to be applying online this time, but I thought it wasn't supposed to open until aug 1

@ohmmkayy I was waitlisted #47 for Fall - so I pretty much knew it was a long shot.  

Spring generally has less applicants than Fall - so here's to hoping I get in the second time around.

I heard about the application being online from this thread - but I didn't see anything on the website about that.  They still have the paper application posted, which is the same as what I turned in for Fall Semester.  So I'll be sure to watch out for that too.  

Where did you hear about the online application?

@Sandrak I went to their zoom information session, they said they're moving it to online so look out for it on aug 1 I think he said around noon it should be up I just looked on their website, I think the next zoom is aug 3 and you have to email them for a link

@ohmmkayy Oh my goodness well you definitely have reliable information then! 

I'll watch for that and thanks for the heads up about August 3rd.

Merced College went online for the first time for Fall semester and it was nerve-wracking!  I went back and forth and over and over to be sure I had everything attached and added correctly before I anxiously submitted the application. 

Whatever you do, don't let the "auto-fill" feature take over the application.

I actually haven't completed my application either. I believe the deadline is august 1st? You're taking your TEAS aug 6th? Are we able to submit TEAS scores/transcripts after the deadline?

@NonTradRoutesyou submit one application to apply to stan state if you haven't already, then you submit your nursing application which opens august 1, but closes august 31, def attend the zoom info meeting if you're confused
