CSU Stanislaus Spring 2021

Published

Hi,

I haven't seen anyone make a post regarding Stanislaus State's nursing program for the upcoming Spring. Did anyone else apply to the pre-licensure BSN program for Spring 2021?

Oh OK I was just curious if it will now effect my place on the alternate list now that they have moved you up that’s all. Well congratulations

I am not sure how things work out. There was a mistake when they evaluated my application. They scored me with 78 points which was not the case. I have 92 points. I was supposed to be in the top 30 but notifications were already sent out and I have to wait for the first decline to be sent in. So Yes, I was number 30 because they made mistake. So now I am #1 alternate because I should have been accepted but my spot was given to another student and have to wait for a seat. So yes, I am on the waitlist but will get the first seat because I should have not been put on the alternate list. I did not want to get into detail because I did not want to stir things up and I really should not have to explain myself to anyone. This is why I asked how many points people had because there were people accepted with fewer points than I had or are a lot closer on the alternate list than I was.

I was put as alternate 13! Let me know what they tell you!

So nothing has been changed as far as the alternate numbers she stated. She did let me know that last semester they got up to #18! So I am crossing my fingers for us! I will post on here if I hear anything back from the school!

They typically take 5-15 I believe is what I was told and yes last application period they did take 18 off of the alternate list.

Yeah I am hoping that with the pandemic and all there will be some people who cannot attend or that some that are accepted decide to go to another school!

What programs have you applied to? Delta will notify next week but I have also heard of ppl being accepted to mjc Spring semester start and also applied to stan Spring start. So there may be alternates taken at MJC if students got accepted at Stan. There are a lot of schools that have not notified students of acceptance yet so figures crossed once notifications are sent out you move through the alternate list.

Are you from Turlock? I would love to go to SF State they have really good medical programs. My friend went to Sac State and loved it. I wish I could travel to go out of Stanislaus county. Best of luck sent your way to get into the program you want the most.

No I’m from Oakley! Coco county! So I would be commuting like an hour and a half for Stan LOL

It's about 2 hours away commute for me. Were you planning on moving or just commute if you ever get into the program?

I’ll be commuting! I have a little girl so I’ll just deal with it to be close to my family!

Aww! That makes sense. It'll be so much easier if you only have to commute for clinicals rather than commuting everyday for class.
