Hey, I started this forum for anyone applying for the Spring 2023 Semester (Applications 8/1-8/31/22)!!

The courses are only like 7 hours on Monday and 3 hours on Friday and nothing else? I don’t know how nursing schools typically are but I assumed it was much more class time than this??
NURS 3700, Intro to Nursing Research, is hybrid actually.
Aren't there any clinicals or labs? Is that only for the lectures?

I don’t think there’s more class than what was listed. I remember speaking to my counselor when the semester started and she said that the roadmap is what we will be using to register ourselves to classes each semester. But, most likely they will give us more info as to why it’s set up like that.

Oh I think I know why. If you tally up the units it’s 9 units in total since it’s three classes. But, there’s still students who may have not completed all of their undergraduate classes (gen ED classes that allow us to graduate) so in order to make us full time students we would incorporate one of those classes into our class schedule to make the student full time and if we don’t take another class, which is at least 3 units. Then if not, the student would be considered half time since it’s less than 12 units.

Yeah. That makes sense but I am still surprised that we only have school 2 days a week the first semester

Just got the email. I'm number 1 on the waitlist. Good luck! Hope we'll see each other around campus next semester. Best of luck to everyone else on the waitlist :))
I GOT IN! First nursing program I got into. Though I have a dilemma. It stated on the email that we have to get back to them in regards to accepting or denying our admission on November 10th at 4:00 pm. BUT I also applied to sac state and those results don’t come until November 10th at 5:00 pm!! HELP PLEASE!! I need advice.

Im so glad you are in the same position!! How crazy is it that Sac State gets back to us an hour later? So what I did was accept admission at Stan State, and in the small chance I also get into there, I will have to make a decision so worst case scenario I will let Stan State know I cant come. I don’t think they can do anything if I decide not to attend

Why did they have to do us like that?? LOL. Have you done the intent to enroll for the university yet if you’re a transfer student? Because the intent to enroll for the actual university is December 16 right? I was planning on accepting my admission to nursing in Stanislaus and then if I get into sac state, maybe I just won’t do the intent to enroll?? I honestly don’t know LOL. Also, to clarify did you accept the nursing admission at Stan state by just replying to that admission email they sent us?

I think since it’s three years long with summers off, the workload is spread out more. I think especially because it’ll be foundation classes, so maybe first semester isn’t supposed to be overwhelming which is what I’m assuming.
