CSU Stanislaus ASBSN Spring 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I'm curious as to how many people on here are planning on applying for the ASBSN program through Stanislaus State. Due to Covid-19, the process is entirely online. While the application fee has been waived (hooray!) we do have to pay for transcripts to be emailed electronically so the cost evens out (dangit). It looks like a fabulous program, and although it's pricey at around $36k it's cheaper than other accelerated programs in the Sacramento/NorCal region.

can you list the address? Some of my schools will not allow me to send official transcripts to an email ?

Same! I couldn't opt for the email transcript. I had to order my hard copy transcript to the address @Santacruzsandy5 stated above. I hope it gets to their office in time within these two weeks. I have 3 transcripts that I'm sending in.

Hi everyone!

I’m working on getting all the docs ready for the application. I may not have all of them until late next week which when the deadline is. Oh well. It was sort of a last minute decision for me because the schools I prefer either deferred the program to Fall 2021 or cancelled it altogether.

Does anyone have an idea what the schedule of class look like? I attended the info session and the program director said the clinicals are usually once a week for 12 hours, depending on the session. I was wondering what the lecture/theory class scheds are and if all of them are online or how much of them are.

@Zee28 that question was asked during my info session in July. It was stated, at this time, that non-clinical classes, such as theory, were going to be online unless something changed between now and January 2021. As for the actual schedule, I'm not sure what look like.

@santacruzsandy5: thank you for that info!

Hey guys, it's August 17th! Did you guys confirm that the school received everything you sent in?

I'm actually a little surprised that there aren't more people on this thread commenting that they applied. I wonder if Covid set a lot of applicants back?

I was also surprised! I'm going to follow up today to make sure they received everything. I didn't attend the info session - just to clarify, our theory will be virtual but we will have labs/clinicals in person, correct?

Do any of you know what the points cutoff is typically?

I don't but here is the printout of how they calculate the score.

I wish they would email us our verified scores/points like other schools do. I think we'll just have to wait for our notification emails from here on out, which is the first week of October if I'm not mistaken.

How many points do you guys approxiamately think you have? Looking at there FAQ page theres approximately 150 applicants from last year.

It would be helpful it they told us our points. Good luck to everyone.

I honestly can't tell what my total points would be because I'm a little hazy on how they do the overall GPA computation. But to break it down, I have 3.66 (this is the equivalent GPA of my foreign transcripts) and 4.0 from courses I've taken in the US; 4.0 science and non-science pre-req's; 89.3 TEAS; foreign language; paid healthcare experience of more than 1000 hrs. I am not a local of CSU Stan or a resident of nearby counties so I don't get points for those. CSU Stan is not my first choice school because I have to drive for more than an hour to and from but I do like the overall timeframe the program has to complete the degree.

Good luck to everyone!

We should be getting notifications on or about October 1st.

Hi! I applied to the program and received a confirmation email on the 17th stating that all my transcripts and applications were received before the due date. I wonder how many applicants applied this round. I've been rejected from 2 ABSN programs this year. I hope I get a chance to get into Stanislaus's program. *cries
