CSU Stanislaus ASBSN Fall 2014

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello everyone!

I have yet to see a thread on CSU Stan's ASBSN program for this Fall 2014. I just wanted to see how many people out there have applied like myself :) Best of luck to everyone!

federal loans: $12,500 year 1, $625 year 2

otherwise private loans like Discover, Sallie Mae...

I'm from Stockton if you have any questions. But just to answer the basics that I know you'll want to know if you're not from around here:

Live in northwest Stockton. 95219 is probably the zip code to shoot for (it has the highest income bracket, if that even means anything.) Brookside, Mariners Dr., W. Ben Holt

Compared to other parts of CA, Stockton rent is pretty cheap.

It's not scary (for the most part). There are certain places that you just shouldn't go at certain times, like areas around the area of the school (where I would NOT suggest living). The Stockton Stanislaus campus itself is actually really cute and seems to be in a well guarded off on it's own.

I've already accepted the federal aid. Also I have the name and number of the guy in charge of financial aide. He'll contact you anyway if made any mistakes on your FAFSA.

You have to file for FAFSA first to get federal aid and BEFORE you go private. There are a lot of good reasons... if you care to know.

Sorry for typos, I'm not going to proof read.

Anyway, my lunch is over... :p

@hungrygirl how were you notified to accept your federal aid package?

You can try going to mycsustan.edu to see if an account has been set up for you. You have to click the link for "Initial sign-in..." to see for you have a log-in. If you can log in, on the right side of the page very purple page that appears, there are the "financial aid" links that you need.

@hungrygirl thanks for the info! I was able to log in, but did not see any packages available yet. Maybe because I haven't turned my deposit and intent to enroll form yet?

@Madelinee. I haven't turned mine in either. I was already in the Stanislaus system though so maybe it took less time to get my financial aid in order. That and I think they do each student's award individually so maybe they just haven't gotten to you yet.

@hungrygirl you're right. Thanks for the help! I'm eager to see my award package so I can start looking into other means to fund this :nailbiting:

Any chance someone could PM me the Facebook group link?

@MRSKMS I went ahead and sent you the link :) Congrats again!

Would you be able to send the link to me too?? :)

Penny23- I just messaged you the link

Hello all, I was also accepted into the fourth cohort @ CSU Stan! I just discovered this thread and would love to join the facebook group but I can't seem to find it!

A link would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
