CSU Sac/Chico Spring '09

I applied to Chico and Sac State for spring of 09 and my anxiously waiting to hear also! I did apply to Chico state last semester and had 81 points and didn't get in. I was #21 on the alternate list and ended up being #7 when school started. They did, however, change their point system from last semester did u see that? Last semester you could get the full 20 points from having 80% or higher on the Teas exam. But for spring 09 you have to have 90% or higher to get the full 20 points. When I applied last semester I had 83% on my teas so I got full points. But since they changed it I re-took the teas and brought my score up to 89%. So I don't know if this new change will make it easier or harder to get in. Did u apply to sac state and chico last semester or is this your first time applying?

How many points are you going to have for Sac state? I think I should have 79 which I hope is enough! The cut off for last semester was 74 points so hopefully 79 will be enough! Good luck to you!

i had 80pts last semester for CSUS Fall '08 but didn't apply for their November 30th fall deadline in time last year, so I was ineligible. Terri Tallman told me in May that the cutoff for fall was the same as spring '08. So i think it'll be pretty safe to say we're at least alternates! *crosses fingers*

Thanks for the responses...I think I will have 78 pts for Sac if I get the pts I estimated on the optional criteria. This is my first time applying. I am hoping for the best!

Hi, I am also waiting for Sac State, hopefully today the wait will be really over. This is killing me !!! I also applied to Chico, got no idea when they will have their results out. I doubt I will be accepting the spot if I get in Chico, Stanislaus is at commuting distance to my house, so that will be a better choice for me.

Anyway, I did get accepted at Humboldt, but I live about 10 minutes from sac state, so Sac State is my first choice just because of that, otherwise, I like Humboldt hollistic approach more.

Anyway, let's keep our fingers crossed. If anyone who lives far get in Sac State and I get in, she can stay at my house, I have a pretty big guest bedroom. Only if I get in too, lol

I hear ya.... I live about 30 min away from sac state and the two schools I have heard from were Humboldt and Long beach..... both of which are not close to me.... So lets hope for sac state so I dont have to find a place to live and move in a month! 5 hours and counting! Actually I just checked my e-mail and I noticed that the e-mail I got from Humboldt state said I was granted admission into the Fall 2008 program..... which um.... doesnt that end in like a week? Did anyone else who got accepted to this program for Spring see this error? Kinda worried now lol.

so FutureER-RN, if (knock on wood) you do not get into sac state, where will you go? For me it is Humboldt. I can take the train to come home on weekends and it is 5 semesters(not quite 6 sem like chico where I might get bored at times or sac state 4 semesters where I might become bald before the end of school, lol) ---

Let me know, maybe we can start some kind of support group and go through this together so we won't feel too much alone.

well, I actually didnt know that humboldt state was only 2.5 years and its about 5 hours from here.... So if I dont get into sac state I might just go there. I did apply to chico state, however, that is even further than humboldt, but my fiance can get transferred to a store out in chico but I'm not sure there are any in humboldt... so I would have to leave him behind and I dont know if I could do that. so I will just have to wait and see! But I've wanted this for a long time so if thats where I have to go, then thats where I will go!

Humboldt just recently started admitting for Spring. Probably just an oversight by the program.
