CSU East BAY Teas admission

Published

Hello,

I'm done with my nursing prerequisites and have a GPA=4. I am now preparing for the Teas. I want to apply to CSU east bay, but I have no experience in the medical field and have no other ways to earn points. Is it possible to get admitted with my GPA and a good score in TEAS test? Can someone tell me the average of the total points that can be earned to get admitted?

Thank you in advance

Hi Farouss,

I can't speak definitively; however, I have looked at the info for CSUEB over the last year and a half or so. They used to post the last cohorts stats, but they stopped doing that. If you have a 4.0 and do exceptionally well on the TEAS (like higher than a 93), I still don't think that is enough to get in. It is an extremely impacted program and the school does work strictly off the point system.

My suggestion is to reach out to the nursing department, they are super nice and I'm sure can answer this question for you. If you're not applying for a while a great experience would be to volunteer at a hospital or something similar. In addition, you can volunteer in an area the program calls "multicultural" work - I imagine this is volunteering or working with programs that are designed to assist or further marginalized groups.

I hope that helps, best of luck to you!
