CSU Chico BSN Fall 2016

Hi everyone,

If I'm not mistaken, it looks as though no thread has been started for Chico's Fall 2016 BSN nursing program. I recently submitted my application and currently playing the waiting game. It'd be nice to hear from fellow applicants. Good luck to you all!

I called the nursing department on Friday and she told me they hope to have decisions out by the middle of this week!

OMG guys I just got the news(email)! The cut off score was 90 and there were 189 verified applicants. This was definitely a tough semester to get into. Congratulations to anyone that got in. And for those that didn't, do NOT lose hope. Reapply next time and keep trying!

Acceptance e-mail is in! The program accepted 40 students with a cut off score of 90. I will be declining the offer because I am already committed to another program. Good luck everyone!

I also got my acceptance email! :) Congratulations to those that got accepted and to those that didn't, don't get discouraged, this is actually my second time applying (retook my Tease). Also the wait list is still a possibility.

I didn't recieve an email. Should I assume I was not accepted? Is the waitlist still a possibility or have they sent out those emails as well?

I wouldn't lose hope just yet, they may still be sending out waitlist emails. If so, it seems (at least in fall semesters) there tends to be quite a few slot openings pulled from the waitlist. Stay Hopeful!

I did not get an e-mail either so I called the nursing department to ask if it was because I was rejected. The lady on the phone told me that they still had not sent out all the e-mails and that I shouldn't assume that I was not admitted. She said that they should have all e-mails sent out by Wednesday.

Let's not lose hope!

For those that got accepted and accepted admission, what are all of you going to do for housing? I'm not exactly local to the area and would need a place to rent along with a roommate/roommates? Or are most of you guys local and/or commuting?

Hey, did anyone get the packet from the nursing school? Did it say when orientation is? Im a transfer student so I'm still waiting for it to come to me in the mail.

Yes, I have. Nursing Orientation is not until August 22.
