Okay, so my problem....
I currently attend a four year institution with a nursing program. i did all pre reqs. applied and got rejected. i am applying again in my second year having finished all my GE's for the college. If i don't get accepted this time around i plan to go somewhere else.
my question is, can i go to a community college and get a BSN since i finished the 2years of GE's? or is there no such thing?
please, any help at all would be much appreciated.

I've heard of a few CC's that have been granted the right to give a Bachelor's degree, but the majority don't. It depends on the college you want to attend and the state it's where it's located with currently 17 states allowing the possibility. If you are talking about California, there is currently a bill being presented to allow it; so it may be a possibility in the future but not right now.

No, never heard of that before. That would be a stupid BS degree because a lot of people would have one.

Hi. I'm in Cali, too. Here's an idea: since you're @ the university, maintain your enrollment there and take the RN course equivalents at the CC. Obtain your RN thru the CC and then do the RN to BSN @ your CSU.
I am going for my BSN, too since I am a former CSU student and most of my GE is done. I'm taking my RN prereqs @ CC. If CSUS doesn't admit me to the RN program (they are highly competetive), I'll probably apply to CSU's RN to BSN program.
I know it's a longer route, but the way I see it, my other options are to pay expensive private school tuition or give up.
I hope that you don't give up. Anything worth having is worth persevering for.
Oh, I just re-read your post and see that you do have a back up plan. Good for you!
