CSN Spring 2015

Published

Is anyone applying for Spring 2015 Nursing Program 2015? I applied for Fall 2014 with 37 points and will be applying for Spring 2015 with 38 points. Does anyone have pointers for the application process? Has anyone gone to the limited entry workshop? I have been discouraged, and need some uplifting information.

Hmmm...

I went in, showed them my ID, then she handed me the first single sheet alternate paper. Then she told me that was it, and to take the alternate packet and sign in. I was in and out in about 3 minutes.

Any other alternates go through the same process?

the packet is an online nursing handbook on the csn website, the paper they gave us has the website.

I guess I'll find out Friday. My packet doesn't have the CSN website describing where to get that info. It just says that congrats on being an alternate, that I need to go to the next TWO mandatory meetings (unless I've been accepted, then three), and to begin getting some of the medical records ready to go. That's about it.

Friday can't come soon enough.

Read " nursing prgram guidelines" and "handbook for health science programs".

Where do we find the acknowledgement sheet to sign stating that we read the packet?

THanks Recahjoy.

When I bring up the nurs 101 book list, it has 6 mandatory and 13 recommended, there is one listed at 800 or 438/no text book on the recommended list, do you recommed getting the 800 one plus we still have al those other ones as well

I was accepted as an alternate with 32 pts... Thankfully, I found this forum, I was trolling around online trying to figure out if or when acceptance calls or letters went out! I never received my call, but after finding this forum I contacted the LE coordinator and she told me I was officially an alternate and informed me about the mandatory orientation on Fri. Whew! Talk about close call!!! So, in her email to me the room number is I108, but I am thinking that may be incorrect, is is supposed to be K108??? Thanks! I look forward to meeting you all on Friday and crossing my fingers that all alternates are accepted! :)

Congratulations!!! The mandatory orientation is from 8am-4 pm Building I, room 108. I'm guessing the K building is where the medical supplies sales, raffles, and meeting with other students will take place.

Did you all sign all of the 9 forms under the "Handbook Forms" link? or did ya'll just sign the form: Acknowledgement of Understanding of Handbook?

I'm printing them and putting them in my folder just to have a jump on things, but I'm almost positive we won't need all of them at orientation on Friday. The blue sheet that they gave us with everything listed for us to bring to orientation doesn't mention even the 'Acknowledgement of Understanding of Handbook' form, so I wouldn't stress too hard about having them done just yet.
