CSN RN Spr 2012 applicants When Are You Turning In Your Packets?

hello all!

i was just wondering, for those of you that are applying to csn's spring 2012 full time or part time rn program, when are you planning on turning in your packet?

i know the deadline isn't until sept 1,2011 but i am excited to get that acceptance letter :yeah:and i also just want the application off of my hands lol

For the alternates does anyone know how they pick? Do they go by the higher numbers and go down but choose randomly within a certain number? Make sense?

Glad you called Krinkles! I think the cut off was 28 or was it 29? So do they do it randomly or do your points determine if you are higher on the list? I've been told both so I'm just wondering. I had 27pts for pt alternate and a pt alternate that sat next to me at orientation also had 27pts.

Talked to --- about how alternates are chosen, she said they take the higher numbers then go down, but randomize with the number, which is what I thought. For example if there are 3 ppl left with 29 points they will make their spot random from 1 to 3 then move onto ppl with 28 points and make it random as well, make sense?

Thank you krinkles..did you ask if how many open spots for full time altrnates. And what is the highest pts next to the cutoff for the full time..thank you so much krinkles

Glad you called Krinkles. Thanks for the info. That's crazy because I was told their were only 8 PT alternates but when I counted on the list when I picked up my packet I saw 10 names. So I guess it was 10 with only one not showing up to orientation.

At least we know three of them and their points:

Krinkles-28pts

Me-27pts

Girl next to me at orientation-27pts

So I bet the cut off for PT was 29 but then again I'm sure that didn't make a perfect 16 so maybe they randomly selected some 28 pointers into the program or perhaps the cut off was 29. I'm guessing it was 29. So I bet you're in Krinkles, good for you! I wish I knew who else was going for PT as an alternate and how many points they have so we can see what the chances will be. Anyone else going for PT as an alternate and want to share your points???

Hmmm, all the applicants who got in had to take their drug test yesterday. I bet they're waiting for the results... Who knows, there might be more seats available!

Genius thinking Carriesmia! I bet you're right, someone said on this thread somewhere that the drug test always knocks off a few people. Weird though because I would think that people would prepare for that but oh well, good news for us!
