CSN Nursing Program

U.S.A. Nevada

I am currently finishing up my pre-reqs and will be applying in March fro the nursing program at CSN. I've read the program is hard due to the lectures, labs, and clinicals. In orientation they advised us NOT to work but there are bills to pay. Anyone in the program have any suggestions? I was planning on maybe just working 3 or 4 days a week. Is it recommended from anyone in the program? Pls help!! I need to see what I should do!

I just started my 2nd semester of the ADN program. I worked limited hours during 1st semester and it was tough and I think I only worked maybe 10 days during the whole semester. Now I'm in 2nd semester where we have 2 different classes with lab, lecture and clinical (1st semester had 101 lab, lecture and clinical plus a pharmacology lecture) and I'm not working at all and barely have time to do everything. Now I might be a slow learner but I worked very hard before school started to save up money so I won't have to work. There are other people in my class that work and they can do it so maybe you can. Just see what works for you.

What about the required insurance part? They want us to have insurance but that's something I find difficult to have without a job.... :/ if you don't mind me asking with how many points did u get in? I think I'll have around 34 points by the time this semester finishes up. I think that's good lol

34 is awesome!

As for insurance, they have insurance there at the school you can buy, and I think it's relatively cheap.

Do you know about how much it is by any chance? Why don't they inform us of this stuff!!! Make me freak out for nothing lol

Specializes in oncology, med/surg, ortho.

Will you be applying for the full time or part time track? I did the part time track and worked full time. It was doable with my work schedule.

I would preferably like the full time teach n work only 3 or 4 days but I really am considering the part time track as well...
