CSN Fall 2011 rn program

Published

I applied today! I applied last semester too, but because of the massive amount of applications, I was denied. Crossing my fingers for FALL!!!! Has anybody else applied?

Does anybody know how being an alternate works? and what are their chances of getting in? I'm curious to know because we are required to attend if we want to be considered and I was just wondering if it was woth it to go or just reapply next semester. Also, do you know how many alternates are chosen? Sorry so many questions? And thank you in advance.

Chances of getting in vary depending on the semester. From what I have heard, obviously don't know for sure, a handful of people change their mind after orientation or during the summer for whateve reason. If it were me I would attend the orientation, as you have a better chance of getting in next semester than if you don't attend. If anything, you get to learn what the program is more about and be in a better position to be prepared when you do start. I don't think they choose THAT many alternates.

Good luck!!

I am wondering if all the calls were in fact made yesterday.... :(

so my friend who has 30 points still hasnt gotten called and neither have I with 26... there doesnt seem to be a rhyme or reason for the order they are calling... so frustrating! for all you posting that you got in can you PLEASE post points?? thanks!

I had 29 points. Two of my friends both got in with 29 as well. Anyone with 30 is in for sure. Good luck!

Would it be psyhco if I called the LE Office to see if they are still completing calls? I'm so confused how both 26 and 27 points are alternates.

absolutely call!!!!!!

She stated all calls were completed. To call after May 6th to schedule an appt to review the application to determine why you were not selected.

Well now we know for sure!!!

I'm sorry for those of you who didn't make it in this time - I don't know what I'd do if I were in your shoes, I guess just keep trying!

I am so excited to pick up that letter tomorrow and even more excited for orientation, I can't wait to find out what my schedule will be and start getting things ready.

I just talked to ---- from the Limited Entry office and she said that only 128 applicants got accepted for the full-time program and 16 for part-time. She doesn't know the exact cut-off points yet but she'll know next week when they start sending out the letters for those who didn't get accepted.

I wonder why they accepted less students this semester?

Well I did not get in with my 27. I will have 32 when I complete communications. Frustrating beyond belief that 26 got in as an alternate and I was rejected completely. Good luck to everybody that got in...

I feel your frustration:(
